Listed below is a method for cleaning Venetian blinds. Not all blinds are suitable to be treated in this way, so if you are in doubt, contact the manufacturer before following the below tips.

Step1: Before you remove the blinds from the window, you should open them fully. You need a small bathtub so you can start to wash the blinds. You can place a soft towel at the bottom of the tub to avoid scratching.

Step2:
Now fill the bathtub with warm water till it is about three quarters filled. And, ensure that the blinds are completely covered with the warm water.

Step3: Add 1 gallon of white vinegar to the water in the bathtub and swish this liquid around using your hand. The vinegar will be effective in eliminating any accumulated grime on the blinds without corroding the blinds.

Step4: Let the blinds soak in the water until all the dirt and grime has come loose. Keep stirring the water at regular intervals in order to loosen surface grime.

Step 5:
Empty the bathtub completely. Fill the bathtub with cold water and stir about for some time more. You can use a shower head attachment in your bathroom in order to rinse your blinds.

Step6:
Now remove the blinds and place them on a soft towel. Let them dry completely before refitting them.

Step 7: Maintain a regular cleaning regimen for your Venetian blinds and be astounded at the results.
